A 19-year-old from Recea, in Brașov county, was detained for 24 hours after police suspected him of stealing about 60 liters of diesel fuel from farm tractors. Police said the alleged theft happened on the night of 4 to 5 October, when diesel was taken from tanks belonging to agricultural tractors on land in Recea. Investigators also said other goods were stolen. Officers from the Voila Rural Police, Recea Post, started a criminal case for qualified theft in a continuing form after they were notified on 5 October. Following checks, police identified the local 19-year-old as the suspect. Based on the evidence gathered, officers ordered his detention on 15 October and sent him to the Brașov Arrest and Preventive Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing under a case prosecutor, within the file for qualified theft in a continuing form, while the suspect remains covered by the presumption of innocence.
