Vienna police measured a car at 120 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on Laaer Berg Straße, city-bound, during a traffic focus operation. The incident was recorded on 24.10.2026 at 22:00. After subtracting the measurement tolerance, the recorded speeding comes to an excess of 64 km/h. The Landesverkehrsabteilung Wien carried out the checkpoint as part of a traffic-police Schwerpunktaktion. In the direction of the city, officers recorded the vehicle travelling far above the posted limit. Police are now initiating a driving licence withdrawal procedure. The driver may also face the confiscation of the vehicle. Vienna police confirmed the matter is under further processing, with the legal steps already underway following the measurement.
