Gdańsk police have arrested two men after finding more than 30 kg of various drugs in apartments, prosecutors charged them with involvement in drug trafficking. The seized haul totalled over 30 kilograms of different narcotics. Prosecutor brought charges for “participation in trading a significant quantity of narcotics,” a charge that carries a possible prison term of up to 12 years. Both men, aged 44 and 43, were placed in custody for three months. The 44-year-old also received an additional sentence of one year and 10 months for earlier offences. The older suspect will be tried under recidivism rules, which means the court may increase his penalty by an additional half. The case is ongoing, with the men currently held in custody while the charges are processed in court.
