Poland police from Gdańsk’s District Police Station V detained a 52-year-old accused of abusing a dog. The man allegedly dragged the dog along the ground, lifted it by the leash, and struck it against the ground. The incident was reported to have happened last Wednesday. Officers brought the case forward with an animal abuse charge. The man heard the accusation of “abuse of an animal,” a crime that carries a penalty of up to 3 years in prison. The accused remains in police proceedings as the case moves forward on the charge.
