Police in Poland arrested a 19-year-old suspect linked to a “bank employee” scam that cost a woman more than 91,000 zł. Criminal investigators, working with officers from the Digital Crime Unit of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Olsztyn, established and detained the person suspected of defrauding a 62-year-old resident of Pisz county. The victim lost 91,000 zł using the “on the bank employee” method. The suspect was detained on the territory of Wrocław. Officers coordinated their work with the police unit responsible for combating digital-related crime, leading to the arrest. The case is still at the investigation stage following the detention.
