A police drone caught 24 drivers ignoring STOP signs at railway level crossings during enforcement in Poland as part of the “Bezpieczny przejazd kolejowy” operation, Poland Police said. The action took place yesterday at railway crossings. Nearly all drivers who failed to stop received fines and points, and police in one case submitted a motion to have a driver penalised by a court. Officers focused on behaviour at rail crossings, where drivers are required to stop when the STOP sign is displayed. The drone helped identify violations as vehicles passed the crossings during the operation. The case status for most offenders is administrative, with fines and points issued. In the remaining case, police have taken the matter to court by filing a request for a penalty.
