A 28-year-old man from Celaru was detained in Craiova after he allegedly attacked his former concubine and her mother, with police issuing a temporary protection order. Police said a 20-year-old woman from Craiova called 112 and reported that her former concubine had come to her home and threatened her mother with violence. Minutes later, she called again, saying the mother had been physically assaulted. Officers rushed to the scene and identified the suspect near the property. He was taken in for questioning. Investigators said the man entered the woman’s home without right and struck the 47-year-old mother. Police also allege he followed the former concubine on the street and threatened her repeatedly. Police completed a risk assessment, concluding there was an imminent risk. A temporary protection order was issued, and electronic monitoring of the suspect was ordered. After the case was supervised by a prosecutor from the Parchetul de pe lângă Judecătoria Craiova, the man was held for 24 hours and placed in the detention center of IPJ Dolj, where he was to be presented to prosecutors for a preventive measure proposal.
