A 34-year-old man was arrested after allegedly attacking Carabinieri during the “Sagra del Grana” in Goito, during Sunday evening events. Carabinieri from the Nucleo Operativo e Radiomobile of the Castiglione delle Stiviere Company carried out a service set up with the Prefecture, following a recent provincial Committee for Public Order and Security chaired by Prefect Roberto Bolognesi. The man, from Ornago, was in the event area in an evident state of intoxication after excessive alcohol use. When he saw the officers, he allegedly launched an unprovoked attack. He first used offensive and insulting language, then moved on to physical violence. The accused allegedly struck the operating officers with kicks and punches. Thanks to a rapid intervention, the patrol blocked him, secured the situation, and took him into custody. The two Carabinieri had to receive medical treatment after being hit. Each officer received a prognosis of 7 days. The arrested man was taken to Carabinieri premises for further checks and made available to the competent judicial authority. He is accused, in the investigative phase, of resistance and outrage to a public official.
