A 41-year-old driver tried to bribe police by throwing a 20 euro banknote into a patrol car near Pavel Banya, after officers stopped him for a traffic violation. Around 18:25 yesterday, a police team from the RU Kazanlak stopped a freight van north of Pavel Banya for inspection. The driver was driving without a seat belt, and officers prepared to issue a report. When he realized an act would be drawn up, he got close to the patrol vehicle and, through the open window, threw the 20 euro banknote into the police car. An inspection was carried out, and a fast-track proceeding was opened at RU Kazanlak under Article 304a of the Criminal Code. The case remains under investigation under the fast-track procedure.
