A 50-year-old man was detained by the GNR in Sines on suspicion of drug trafficking, after officers stopped his vehicle during a road check. The arrest took place on 20 October. During the inspection, the driver showed suspicious behavior, leading police to conduct a personal search. Officers found narcotics in his possession. The seizure included 49.42 doses of cannabis resin, 28.8 doses of cocaine, and 36.89 grams of cutting product. Police also seized 254.22 euros in cash. The man was taken into custody and ordered to appear at the Judicial Court of the Comarca of Setúbal, in Santiago do Cacém, for the application of the relevant precautionary measures, according to GNR information. The investigation continues following the GNR operation.
