A 35-year-old suspect from Požarevac is held after drugs, cash and a loaded pistol were found.
Police in Novi Sad seized 70 kilograms of suspected marijuana and 10 grams of cocaine in a major operation, arresting a man from Požarevac.
The suspect, 35, was taken into custody on suspicion of unauthorised production and placing narcotics into circulation, as well as unauthorised possession of a firearm. Police carried out a search on the territory of Novi Sad.
During the raid, officers found a pistol with eight rounds of ammunition and a large amount of money. Authorities seized 718,000 dinars and 12,800 euros, saying the cash is believed to have been obtained through the sale of drugs.
