Police in Afyonkarahisar have arrested a suspect after a fisherman was shot dead in a market clash. The incident took place in Eşrefpaşa Mahallesi’s market. A suspect identified as Ö.A. allegedly shot S.K., a 38-year-old fish seller, with a handgun and then fled. Health and police teams were dispatched after the report. S.K. was seriously injured and taken to Afyonkarahisar State Hospital by ambulance. Despite medical treatment, S.K. died. Ö.A., who escaped the scene, was later taken into custody at his home during a police operation. İŞçi Haber reported the arrest following the investigation. The suspect remains in police custody as the case is processed further.
