A stolen club bus was pulled to a stop in Andernach after a police chase that ended with an arrest. Police reported the theft after a break-in overnight from 24 to 25 October 2026 at a sports club in the Linz area. The club bus was reported stolen, and a witness contacted police on 29 October 2026 at 22:42 with a sighting in the Industriestraße area in Mülheim-Kärlich. Police immediately launched searches. Officers from the Andernach station were able to locate the vehicle. The driver ignored the stop signals and sped off first toward Andernach on the B9. The chase continued across field roads before the car finally stopped in a dead end in the Andernach-Miesenheim area. The two occupants left the vehicle and fled on foot into the nearby hedges. One fugitive, a 17-year-old youth, was found shortly afterwards hiding in bushes and was arrested. Police seized the car. Investigators also gathered initial leads on the second person who had fled. Criminal proceedings have been initiated against those involved.
