A 23-year-old man is being held by police in Argeș after an alleged physical assault on his 20-year-old concubine, in both a home and public space. Police in Secția 3 Poliție Pitești were called on 11 October, when a young woman was seen crying and asking passers-by for help on strada Libertății. Officers found the 20-year-old woman, from Pitești, together with her concubin, 23, from comuna Albota. Investigators say the woman was allegedly assaulted during the same day, first in their shared home and later in public. After preliminary checks and gathering evidence, police ordered the man’s detention for 24 hours. He is due to be presented to the Parchetul de pe lângă Judecătoria Pitești, with a request for a preventive measure. Investigations are continuing under the supervision of prosecutors, and the person concerned benefits from the presumption of innocence until the case is resolved definitively.
