The teenager is placed under judicial supervision after being charged by an antiterror prosecutor.
A second teenager has been put under investigation over the rifle shots in a school in Aubagne, southern France, with prosecutors charging him for complicity.
This Friday, 16 October, a 13-year-old boy suspected of being linked to the shooting was placed in pre-trial investigation for complicity, and put under judicial supervision.
According to BFMTV, the national anti-terror public prosecutor requested the charge. The teenager was arrested and held in custody on Wednesday before being brought before investigators.
He is accused of “complicity of attempted murders linked to a terrorist enterprise” and “terrorist criminal association” in connection with the preparation of crimes against people.
In the same case, the first suspect, also a schoolboy, was placed in custody after police say he admitted the acts on Wednesday, 14 October. Investigators say he told them he had been mulling over the plan for several months.
On Monday, 12 October, three people were injured by rifle shots at the Lakanal school in Aubagne.
The investigation is ongoing, while the second teenager remains under judicial supervision following his indictment for complicity.
