29-year-old woman smashes Audi into tram stop in Poznan and flees
Police arrest her a dozen hours later after discovering a court driving ban.
A 29-year-old woman rammed her Audi into a tram stop on Grunwaldzka Street in Poznan and then fled the scene, police said.
Officers from the Grunwald unit in Poznan arrested the driver several hours later. Investigators quickly found out why she did not stay at the crash site. A court order prohibited her from driving any motor vehicles.
Police said the incident involved dangerous driving, a collision with the tram stop, and an escape from the scene. The case moved forward when officers established that the woman was driving despite the binding court ban.
The woman is now in police custody following her arrest.
