Carabinieri arrested a 42-year-old man in Avola for evading his home detention, after discovering he was supposed to be in the Bari area. Officers stopped and identified him on Saturday night during a territorial patrol. The suspect has prior convictions for crimes against the person and for offences involving the public administration. The checks showed he should have been at his registered home in the province of Bari, where he had to stay under home detention. The carabinieri moved against him in flagrance for evasion. The man is currently under investigation, meaning he is only suspected of the offence at this stage.
