Police warn about fake investments promising quick profits
Campaign “Bankowcy dla CyberEdukacji” urges people to check who handles their money.
Police warn that investment scams often start online with promises of high returns and an intensive phone pitch.
In the campaign “Bankowcy dla CyberEdukacji”, Andrzej Młynarczyk highlights how criminals push victims to send money immediately after luring them with an attractive offer.
The method is simple. Fraudsters advertise an unusually good opportunity on the internet, then follow up by contacting targets directly. They use pressure to force a fast decision, betting that urgency will prevent checks.
Poland’s police are using the campaign film to stress one step before any investment: verify who you are entrusting with your money.
