Police stop Benjamin Castaldi in Paris on a scooter without documents
He showed a phone copy of his driving licence, and said no fine followed.
Benjamin Castaldi was stopped by police in Paris while riding a scooter and was taken by surprise when officers asked for his documents.
The incident happened on Tuesday, 27 October 2026. Castaldi said police suspected he was riding too fast and filmed by passers-by, with the moment later discussed on Cyril Hanouna’s show Tout beau, tout neuf.
Castaldi told how officers demanded his papers. He did not have them with him on the spot, so he showed a copy of his driving licence stored on his phone.
He insisted he was not sanctioned after the stop. “I didn’t take any fine because the offence was not characterized,” he said.
Castaldi previously spoke about another speeding episode, also on Hanouna’s show, when he admitted being stopped for driving at more than 287 km/h on the A6 in May 2019. He said that earlier case led to a 24-month licence suspension and a 900 euro fine.
Castaldi’s latest control ended without an announced fine or penalty, according to his account on television.
