Police in Serbia have arrested a 24-year-old man from Belgrade suspected of showing, obtaining and possessing pornographic material, and using a minor for pornography, according to a statement from the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP). MUP says this is one of the most serious cases of its kind in recent times. Forensic analysis of seized mobile phones identified 10 children aged 11 to 15 who are suspected to have been subjected to the alleged conduct. Police add that, by the way the suspect operated, especially the intensity of threats and blackmail sent to the children, the case stands out as among the hardest examples of predatory behavior. The investigation focuses on how the suspect allegedly pressured children to provide recordings. Investigators tied the case to the material and communications identified through the phone forensics. The latest status of the case is that the suspect has been arrested, and the investigation continues as MUP reviews the findings linked to the seized devices.
