A man was arrested after the drugs were found in a semi-trailer during an operation called “Kamen”.
Federal police raided a semi-trailer in Bosnia and seized around 100 kilograms of material suspected to be marijuana, then arrested a man.
The operation, codenamed “Kamen”, took place in the West Herzegovina Canton. Police carried out the action with officers from the cantonal Ministry of Internal Affairs, and it was under the oversight of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to an order from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Federal police said the suspect, identified as N. M. (born 1980) from Konjic, was arrested on suspicion of the criminal offence of unauthorised production and placing on the market of narcotic drugs.
During the search ordered by the court, investigators searched the suspect and the freight vehicle, a semi-trailer. They found and temporarily seized about 100 kilograms of material that resembled cannabis, along with several mobile phones and other items that could be linked to the alleged offence.
The arrested man was taken to the Federal Police Administration for criminal investigation. After that process, police said he will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina with an incident report for further action.
