Police charge 33 after drug raids in Blackpool
Operation Warrior follows an eight-month investigation and multiple warrants.
Police have charged 33 people after a major drugs operation in Blackpool.
Lancashire Constabulary said officers from the Serious Organised Crime Unit spent eight months carrying out a covert investigation as part of Op Warrior, uncovering high-level importation of drugs into the UK and Lancashire.
The probe focused on a criminal network operating in the Middle East and Asia. During the operation, 17 people were intercepted with 171kg of cocaine and 297kg of cannabis, with a wholesale value of £6.6 million recovered.
Warrants were then carried out across Blackpool in September and October 2026. The force said the raids led to the seizure of significant quantities of drugs, cash and weapons.
The investigation was backed by Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw, as part of Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime.
Lancashire Constabulary said the 33 people have been charged, with the operation now involving the legal process following the warrants and seizures.
