Bochum police have detained two suspects after two separate incidents involving alleged drug dealing. On Monday, 12 October, a witness dialled 110 at about 15:35 after spotting two people at the Unicenter who appeared to be selling drugs. Plainclothes officers stopped one man. He tried to flee but was caught. In a crossbody bag, police found marijuana and cash. The 17-year-old was taken to the station for identification and then handed over to his father. Later that same day, around 20:00, officers observed another suspected dealer from a residence on Westring. During a search of the apartment, police seized larger quantities of drugs. They also found items including clothing with price labels, as well as food and care products in quantities that were not typical for a household. In both cases, the drugs unit Kriminalkommissariat 14 took over further investigations. The 44-year-old man was provisionally arrested.
