Two men have been accused by Trenčín police of stealing copper cables from a fenced scrap yard in Trenčianska Turná. Police say the suspects, aged 37 and 45, entered the locked collection yard without authorization and took copper cables. According to the case, part of the stolen cables was set aside outside the yard, while some had already been loaded into a personal vehicle, a Skoda Octavia. The owner of the area spotted the theft and called the police. Officers detained both men and restricted their personal freedom on the spot. Investigators estimated the damage caused by the cable theft at 700 euros. The men have been charged with theft committed jointly. The case status is that the suspects have been detained and charged, with the prosecution process now underway.
