Police in Jette seized nearly 14 kilos of cannabis during an arrest and raid, after a man tried to escape on a scooter. On Tuesday 6 October 2026, officers from Brussels West Zone intercepted the suspect on Avenue de l'Exposition in Jette. The man fled on a trottinette but was arrested in sight of the police, and he handed over a bag containing 8.16 grams of cannabis during the arrest. During questioning, police carried out a search of the suspect's apartment. Inside, they found another person filling cannabis sachets, and cannabis was found "in practically every room" of the home. Officers uncovered 9.55 kg of cannabis herb and 3.98 kg of cannabis flowers. They also seized seven GHB bottles, 8,670 euros in cash, precision scales, packaging material and mobile phones. Both suspects were put at the disposal of the Brussels public prosecutor.
