A 25-year-old man in Capoterra has been arrested after allegedly attacking his partner, then lashing out at police officers during an early-morning intervention. The incident happened in the early hours of the night into Tuesday, around 4.30am. A 28-year-old woman from Capoterra asked the Carabinieri for help after another episode involving her partner. Officers arrived shortly after and found the man outside, kicking and punching his own car while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, according to the report. When the patrol tried to calm him down, he began ranting and threatening the officers. Police said the man also tried to prevent identification by pushing officers away. After repeated verbal warnings failed, the Carabinieri restrained him using a teaser. The man was arrested following the intervention, in a case being handled by police in Capoterra.
