A 48-year-old man was arrested in Casal di Principe after allegedly threatening his cohabiting wife with death and then attacking her inside their home. Police said the incident escalated from threats to physical violence, ending with the man allegedly striking her with a slap to the face. Carabinieri who arrived on the scene tried to restore calm, but the man allegedly moved to attack again. During the attempt to stop him and protect the victim, one of the officers was also allegedly assaulted and suffered injuries that required medical treatment. For these reasons, the man was arrested by the Carabinieri of the local company.
