Carabinieri arrested two youths in Catania after finding cocaine, marijuana and cash during controls targeting drug dealing in the Trappeto area. In via Capo Passero, officers spotted two men aged 19 and 20 allegedly ready to sell the drugs to people arriving by car. The pair were stopped, identified and searched. During the checks, police found radio transceivers and two small bags containing several grams of cocaine and marijuana. They also seized more than 1,000 euros in cash, which officers said was likely linked to spaccio activity. The seized drugs and cash were confiscated for further assessment. Based on the evidence collected, both suspects were arrested and, on instructions from the judicial authority, placed under house arrest. The investigation is continuing, and both remain presumed innocent until any final conviction.
