Police carried out 4,592 checks in the “Ciche Miasto” operation, issuing 3,382 driving fines worth 1,419,290 zł. The action targeted loud exhausts, with officers stepping up enforcement against modifications and faulty systems. The operation ran from March to October, with 104 sound-level checks using a sonometer. In 76 cases, police stopped registration documents because of breaches linked to environmental protection, including exhaust systems that were not working properly or had been modified to produce excessive noise. Officers sent 144 cases for further proceedings, including to court. “Ciche Miasto” is ongoing, not a one-off campaign. Police also reported 143 licence stops and 477 registration-document seizures as part of the operation’s results. The investigation and enforcement continue.
