Police in Hungary have announced a joint effort to step up action against human trafficking through a nationwide professional training program in Esztergom. The International Education Center has won 1.229 billion forints in non-repayable funding under the Internal Security Fund Plus for the 2021 to 2027 period, for the project BBA Plus_3.1.1-24-2024-00001, focused on skills development against cross-border crime. The training is scheduled to be carried out as an official part of the programme supported by the BBA Plus scheme. Its focus is to strengthen professional competence to support efforts against trafficking. Latest status: the project funding has been secured for the training programme and is set to proceed under the BBA Plus support framework.
