Police detained Constantin Raiciu, known as Costi Litrașu, after a complaint alleging he intimidated a witness linked to the so-called "măcel de la Chiajna" case. The new accusations concern an incident reported on October 14, when Cristian Partimari, a witness for Liviu Iordan, said he was threatened by Litrașu and his cousin Sorin Raiciu. Partimari told investigators the threats were meant to push him to change his statements. Prosecutors and police also took into account the wider background of Litrașu and his conflicts with Iordan. Iordan and an associate were previously hit in an ambush in Chiajna in July 2020, an incident that led to accusations against Litrașu and other men. On October 14, Partimari went to the Police Office in Chitila to file his complaint. Litrașu and Sorin Raiciu were then taken in by investigators and brought for questioning. In the early hours, around 3:30, they were held for 24 hours and a provisional protection order was issued for Partimari for five days. After the questioning, the case prosecutor decided that Sorin and Constantin Raiciu would not be taken to court with a proposal for pre-trial detention. At the latest stage described, the men were detained temporarily following the complaint, and the protection order was set to run for five days while the investigation continued.
