Seven unlicensed non-lethal weapons were seized, and the port-weapon right was cancelled.
Police carried out 10 home searches in Dambovita on 3 November as part of Operation JUPITER, targeting suspected violations of the arms and ammunition regulations.
The raids were coordinated by prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice and the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, with local police from the Dambovita County Police Inspectorate’s Arms, Explosives and Dangerous Substances unit.
During the searches, officers found and seized 7 non-lethal weapons with potential lethality, including 5 rifles and 2 pistols. Officers also issued two contravention fines and ordered the cancellation of the right to carry a weapon.
Investigators continue the case under the prosecutor in charge, looking into the offence of failing to comply with the arms and ammunition regime.
