Dejan Kink, who previously led the Air Police Unit, has been appointed Director of the Novo mesto Police Directorate. According to the Slovenian Police, Kink will take over the post on 1 July 2026, after the formal handover of duties on 30 June. The transfer took place in the presence of Deputy Director-General of Police Donald Rus. The affairs were handed over by Bor Jeglič, who had been leading the Police Directorate by authorisation of the Director-General of Police. Rus thanked Jeglič for his service, noting that he is returning to his previous role as Assistant Director of the Ljubljana Police Directorate, and wished Kink every success in his new position. The announcement lists the appointment as part of leadership changes within the police directorates, with Kink moving from his previous role to lead the Novo mesto Police Directorate from 1 July 2026.
