Dolj man detained after violating protection order and threatening ex-partner
Police say a 47-year-old was held for 24 hours for alleged threats and home violation.
A 47-year-old man was detained in Dolj after police accused him of violating a court protection order and threatening his former partner at her home.
The case was reported by a 51-year-old woman from the same community, who told police that the former concubin had ignored the order and went to her address on the evening of 16 October at 22:35.
Dolj police said the order had been issued by a court on 15 October 2026. Under the ruling, the man was required to keep at least 100 meters away from the woman’s home.
Police from Secția nr. 1 Poliție Rurală Șimnicu de Sus took up the complaint, led the man in for questioning, and after collecting evidence, placed him under a 24-hour hold. He was supervised by a prosecutor from the Parchetul de pe lângă Judecătoria Craiova.
The man is being investigated for alleged threats, violation of domicile, and breaching the measures set out in the protection order. After detention, he was taken to the Dolj Police Department’s holding center.
Investigations continue as prosecutors consider whether to impose a further preventive measure.
