Domusnovas, early this morning, Carabinieri arrested a 28-year-old after drugs were found at his home following a call reporting a heated family argument. The intervention started around 03:00, after an emergency call to the N.U.E. 112 from the area. Carabinieri from the Villamassargia Station, supported by personnel from the Aliquota Radiomobile of the Norm in Iglesias, carried out an apartment search on site. More than 200 grams of cocaine and hashish were seized, hidden inside the home and available to the 28-year-old. Officers also found the equipment needed to package drug doses. During later interviews and information-gathering, investigators also reconstructed a broader pattern of alleged abuse against family members living with him, involving repeated acts of violence. As a result, authorities immediately activated the procedure for “Codice Rosso”, the special protocol used for urgent protection in domestic violence cases. The suspect remains in the investigation phase, with his case ongoing while further inquiries continue under the current preliminary stage, and no court outcome is stated.
