Police in Klagenfurt arrested a heavily intoxicated 45-year-old man after he attacked officers and fought his detention. The incident happened in the night on October 11, 2026, when officers were called to a local establishment in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee shortly after midnight. Instead of calming down, the man went on the police, attacking them physically and trying to avoid being taken into custody. Only with major effort did the officers manage to restrain him and complete the arrest. Two police officers were injured. A patrol car sustained damage during the intervention. The arrested man was taken to the police detention center. After his questioning on the morning of October 11, the Klagenfurt public prosecutor ordered the case to be handled with the man released on his own terms.
