Police arrested two men in Dubrovnik after stopping a suspected drug handover that involved 3,042 grams of amphetamine. The operation took place on Thursday, 22 October, in the afternoon. A 42-year-old Trebinjec was arrested in a car with Bosnia and Herzegovina registration plates, where police found three packages containing a total of 3,042 grams of amphetamine. Police said the men tried to flee when they spotted officers but were immediately caught and arrested. Investigators allege the 41-year-old Croatian citizen ordered the drugs from the Trebinjec for further resale in Dubrovnik and the surrounding area. At the time of the arrest, police found and seized 1,050 euros linked to the offence. A search at the address used by the arrested Croatian man turned up smaller quantities of amphetamine, marijuana and MDMA, as well as a digital scale used for precise weighing. Both men were taken before an investigating judge at the Županijski court in Dubrovnik, who ordered their pre-trial detention. Herceg TV reported the case. The arrests and charges are part of an ongoing investigation.
