Police seize illegal e-scooters and scramblers in Derry
PSNI say the vehicles are legal to buy but not to ride on public roads or pavements.
Police in Derry seized e-scooters and scramblers after finding them being driven illegally in the Skeoge area.
Ballyarnett NPT officers were patrolling on Friday night when they discovered the vehicles in use, PSNI said.
Although the vehicles can be legally purchased, the PSNI say they cannot be driven on public roads, green areas or pavements.
The PSNI added that scramblers and e-scooters are subject to the same legal requirements as other vehicles, including MOT, licensing, tax and insurance.
The seized vehicles are now in police possession while the matter is dealt with by officers.
