A 23-year-old man from Laslea was detained for 24 hours after police opened an investigation into alleged family violence, according to IPJ Sibiu. The incident is said to have happened on Thursday, 9 October, at around 23:30 in Laslea. A dispute between the man and his 29-year-old sister allegedly escalated into physical violence, and their 57-year-old father was also reportedly hit when he tried to intervene. Police from Dumbrăveni detained the suspect on Saturday, 11 October, based on evidence gathered in the case. The investigation continues at the Dumbrăveni police station under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Mediaș Court. The 23-year-old remains in custody following the 24-hour detention, while the case is still under investigation.
