FBI arrests Himanshu Bhau and aide in Las Vegas hideout
The US operation followed a Haryana STF tip and ICE involvement.
FBI agents arrested most-wanted gangster Himanshu Bhau and his aide Neeraj Faridpuria at a hideout in Las Vegas, USA, after a Haryana Special Task Force tip-off.
The arrests came on Thursday, October 23, 2026 (India time), following information supplied to US authorities for a joint operation involving US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the FBI.
Himanshu Bhau, also known as Himanshu Ritoliya, has been on the run since 2022, when he fled to Portugal using fraudulent documents for a passport before later reaching the USA through a “donkey route.”
Indian agencies say Bhau is wanted across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh for a range of alleged crimes including extortion, kidnapping, murder, forgery, and criminal conspiracy linked to cheating.
He is also described as a rival to Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, with Bishnoi currently held in a Gujarat jail. The STF said the operation targeted the gangsters together.
According to the report, a Red Notice had been issued against Bhau by Interpol in August 2023. Faridpuria’s name also surfaced in connection with a shooting, after he had previously been detained in the US and later released, before being taken into custody again following an allegation that he removed an electronic ankle monitor.
The Himanshu Bhau gang has been linked to high-profile cases in India, including an attack at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s home in 2025 and a broad-daylight assassination in Delhi’s Aya Nagar on September 14, 2026, where the gang later claimed responsibility in a social media post. Another killing involving the Himanshu Bhau gang was described as the 2026 murder of dairy businessman Ratan Lohia near his house in Aya Nagar.
Himanshu Bhau, born in 2002, is described as having started his criminal career in Rohtak’s Subzi Mandi area through extortion. It says he later established his own gang and is linked to more than 30 cases, about half involving murder or attempted murder.
At the latest, Himanshu Bhau and Neeraj Faridpuria are in FBI custody following their arrest in Las Vegas, and Indian agencies are in talks with US counterparts as the deportation process is expected to begin.
