Final day of TEKLA training in Opolskie targets tax and corruption crimes
Officers trained on combating corruption and VAT fraud under a police-Służba Celno-Skarbowa programme.
The final day of the TEKLA project ended at the Opole garrison, with police and tax customs specialists focused on practical tools to fight economic crime.
During the last training day, detectives and officers presented methods for tackling corruption offences and discussed how to combat economic wrongdoing.
Officers from Opolskie worked under the Służba Celno-Skarbową, Poland’s Customs and Tax Revenue Service, during sessions aimed at strengthening operational cooperation.
Training also covered how criminals allegedly carry out VAT fraud, including schemes used to obtain tax advantages through false or irregular transactions.
The project has now concluded, with participants having completed the programme’s practical anti-corruption and anti-economic-crime training.
