Five men have appeared in Loughrea District Court after an incident of violent disorder in the Midlands. The men were among six people arrested by Gardaí in Ballinasloe yesterday following a disturbance at St Michael's Square on Saturday. Four men in their twenties and one man in his thirties were charged and appeared before a special sitting of Loughrea District Court at 11 o'clock this morning. The case is at court stage following the arrests and charges, with proceedings underway for the five men.
