Four men have been charged over an alleged methamphetamine conspiracy involving a suspected lab on remote farmland in Warwickshire. Kenneth Burton, 34, from The Meadows, Wynyard in County Durham, Paul Harkness Mawby, 34, from Pacific Drive in Thornaby, and Anthony Devine, 34, from Crosswell Park in Ingleby Barwick are accused of conspiracy to produce methamphetamine, a Class A drug. Mohammed Khan, 36, of Lea Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham, will appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court. The National Crime Agency investigation began alongside charges against five Mexican men last month, with officers alleging the group manufactured the drug at a meth lab on remote farmland near Furnace End in Warwickshire. On Thursday 22 October, NCA officers, supported by Cleveland Police and West Midlands Police, arrested the four men and carried out searches in Birmingham and the North East, with backing from the US Drug Enforcement Administration. The men will appear in court on Saturday, and the case remains subject to the court process following their charges.
