FSB detains a minor in Moscow over suspected terror plot
The alleged plan targeted the Tsaritsyno Park and led to an evacuation during a concert.
Russia’s FSB said it detained a minor with Russian citizenship suspected of being involved in plans for a terrorist attack in Moscow’s Tsaritsyno Park.
The security service said the tip came after the United States informed Russian authorities of a potential attack. The US embassy in Russia also issued an emergency security alert, saying it had credible information about a possible strike on Saturday at the Tsaritsyno Museum Complex.
FSB confirmed it received information from the United States and ordered the evacuation of the Tsaritsyno complex. The move happened during a concert by musician Lilia Pechenkina.
Around 50 police officers were sent to the area, and police vehicles patrolled the perimeter, according to the Telegram channel Baza, which is believed to have links to Russian security services.
FSB did not provide additional details about charges or the next steps in the case in the available report.
