Garda arrest four people in Dublin as part of Operation Fógra
Two males in their 20s, plus a man and woman in their 40s, were detained and released pending a DPP file.
Gardaí have arrested four people in north Dublin as part of investigations into organised crime and drug-related intimidation under Operation Fógra.
The arrests took place between Monday, November 2 and Friday, November 6, following a search operation in the DMR North Division.
Gardaí used organised crime legislation for the detentions. During the operation, officers seized luxury items and cash, along with a Volvo XC90.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said the operation was carried out by the Fógra Investigation Unit in DMR North, assisted by the Divisional Drugs Unit in Clontarf.
The four arrested individuals, comprising two males in their 20s and a man and a woman aged in their 40s, have been released without charge pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Operation Fógra was launched in 2021 as a strategy in the DMR region in response to drug-related intimidation and forms part of the wider Operation Tara.
The arrests and detentions bring the number of individuals detained by the Fógra Investigation Unit to 12 in relation to a criminal organisation operating in the Ballymun and north Dublin area.
