Surgeon killed in Marbella luxury clinic, 18-year-old suspected held
Alexander Aslani was shot dead in his Cirumed clinic, police said, and the investigation continues.
A German plastic surgeon, Alexander Aslani, was shot dead in his luxury clinic in Marbella, Spain, on 7 October, police said.
Investigators said a man with his face covered entered Cirumed, opened fire multiple times, and then fled. Police later arrested a suspect aged 18.
The Spanish police arrested the 18-year-old on Thursday. He is suspected of carrying out the shooting at the Cirumed clinic in the south of Spain.
Details about a motive have not been confirmed. Police said they are looking at several possibilities, including whether the killing could be linked to the surgeon’s professional activity. The investigation is also trying to determine whether other people were involved.
Aslani founded the Cirumed clinic more than ten years ago and became a well known name in Marbella’s cosmetic surgery scene. The clinic had two operating rooms and eight treatment rooms, and it offered clients access to a villa and multiple apartments.
Police said the suspect is in custody as the investigation continues.
