German police close Nuremberg airport over suspected in-air drone emergency
Two men later arrested in Poland over allegedly setting a Starlink station on fire.
German police shut down Nuremberg airport after a suspected emergency in the air, following reports of a drone seen in the area in the morning.
The closure was triggered by the suspected drone sighting, with authorities treating the situation as an in-air emergency.
In a separate case, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said German police arrested two Turkish citizens on a Polish request. They were suspected of setting fire to a Starlink station in Poland, which Tusk described as another act of hybrid warfare.
Police in Bavaria also arrested a man after he shot two officials during a weapons check in Berngau. The 60-year-old suspect was hit in the leg during the intervention, and police said they had no information on the motive at the time.
