Spanish National Police raided a storage room in Maspalomas, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, on Gran Canaria, where they say they found drugs and equipment used for distribution. Officers had been watching the premises for about two months, suspecting the location supplied illegal drugs to different points around the municipality. The operation ended on 9 October, when police entered the local and detained a young man as a suspected drug trafficker. The search uncovered an assortment of substances. Police reported 755 grams of hachís, 55 ecstasy pills, 10 grams of cocaine, 8.7 grams of MDMA, other amounts of ketamine and Tusi, plus eight bottles of poppers. The quantities and composition were described as provisional, pending analysis by the competent bodies. Alongside the drugs, officers seized 672 euros in cash, two precision scales, and other items used to measure and distribute the substances. The investigation was handled by the Drug Unit of the Maspalomas police station. Once police completed the paperwork, the detained suspect was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.
