Police have detained three men, aged between 40 and 45, as suspected authors of two home robberies in Alcocéber and Xert in the north of Castellón. The operation, called ‘Rotano’, was carried out by the Guardia Civil’s Territorial Judicial Police Team in Vinaròs. Investigators say it clarified a robbery with force at a home in Alcocéber and another with violence at a home in Xert. The investigation began in the first quarter of 2026 after an increase in housing burglaries across different towns in the north of the province. The three suspects were then arrested simultaneously. Police also attribute to the detained men a suspected offence of belonging to an organized group. After the case paperwork was completed, the detainees and the investigative documents were handed to the Civil and Investigation Section of the Court of Vinaròs, Plaza number 1. The detainees remain in the custody process pending the next steps in the court proceedings in Vinaròs.
