Police: Hungarian couple sold home units online, buyers lost deposits
The suspects are in custody after alleged scams left mobile homes and kitchens undelivered.
Hungarian police say a couple offered mobile homes, container houses and kitchen furniture for sale online, taking deposits from buyers who never received the promised units.
Investigators say the pair sold the “home warmth” for money through internet adverts, but after customers paid an advance, the equipment and living units did not arrive.
The matter led to an arrest, and the scammers are now in custody, police said.
Authorities did not publish details on the amounts paid, how many buyers were affected, or what was recovered. The case remains under police handling as the investigation continues.
